The journey to the crown for the 8 prestigious contestants of the Republic Bank Miss Teen St. Kitts and
Nevis pageant took a glittering step forward at last Friday’s Sashing Ceremony at the festively decorated
Republic Bank St. Kitts. The event celebrated the young ambassadors and their forthcoming participation
in one of the most anticipated events of Sugar Mas 52.
Ms. Pamela Herbert-Daniel, Country Manager of Republic Bank, in her address, remarked on the bank’s
increased support following last year’s success. “By sponsoring the activities last year, we were indeed
impressed and satisfied with the level of coordination and execution of the Festival, which left us with little choice but to double up on our sponsorship contribution for 2023,” she stated to resounding applause. “Republic Bank is actively involved in the development and financial wellbeing of all participants,” Ms. Herbert-Daniel continued, “and strongly believes in diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in empowering our young women.”
Javon Liburd, Chair of Pageants, echoed the sentiments of progress and inclusion. He expressed
confidence that the contestants would uphold the values of the competition and make the committee and Republic Bank proud. He extended his heartfelt thanks to Republic Bank for their unwavering support and investment in the future of the nation’s youth.
As the anticipation builds for the pageant, the National Carnival Committee would like to remind and
encourage the public to support these exemplary young women as they represent not only themselves
but their schools:
