In a significant handing-over ceremony, The Cable, St Kitts has come on board as the
latest Platinum Sponsor for Sugar Mas 51. This event took place on Tuesday, November
30, 2022. Ms Yarayni Morton represented The Cable, St Kitts, and Chair of the St Kitts
Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC), Shannon Hawley was on hand to receive
the cheque.
Ms Yarayni Morton said that The Cable, St Kitts has an established relationship with the
SKNNCC and is excited to be part of Sugar Mas 51 as the Official Internet provider. Over
the past two years, The Cable has powered the live streaming of all SKNNCC events
during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company continues to live its mantra, “more where
it matters”, and is proud to support the SKNNCC’s effort to showcase the Carnival Culture
of St Kitts Nevis to virtual audiences all over the world.
Ms Hawley stressed the importance of having The Cable as a strategic partner. With the
world engulfed by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years, the company stepped
up to ensure Nationals and friends of Sugar Mas got the opportunity to engage in the last
two Carnival Celebrations regardless of their location.
The Cable which has been operating in St Kitts since the 1980s provides services
including Cable, Internet, and Ultra TV. The company continued to encourage loyalty and
long-term business with the introduction of the free Platinum Loyalty Card in 2020.
Sugar Mas 51 will be celebrated between Friday, December 2, 2022, and Tuesday,
January 3, 2023, under the theme, “CELEBRATE AS ONE FOR SUGAR MAS 51”.
