June 8th, 1999 can never be seen as just an ordinary day as on this day, the federation hosted the birth of the dynamic, academic and athletic country gal, Kahnein Blanchette.
This 22 year old commenced formal education at the Ray of Hope preschool where she graduated in 2004. Kahnein eventually harvested the rewards of hard work and determination at the Seventh Day Adventist Primary School where she completed her primary level education and graduated with honours for the Test of Standards Examinations.
This was just the start of her reign. This Wild Cat was sure to contribute meaningfully to the highly maintained standard of the Washington Archibald High School. She easily emerged as the top Business student in 2016. Kahnein’s passion for Accounting was exhibited at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) where she obtained an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, again with Honors in 2018.
Kahnein’s deeply rooted interest in figures motivated her to pursue a career in banking at The St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank in 2018 to date.
As an avid sports lover, Kahnein has played different sports namely tennis, football, netball. Kahnein has served as captain for the U13 and U16 National Netball teams. She holds many awards for Tennis Champion for U10 girls and Most Valuable and Best Attacking Player Awards from high school through CFBC in netball. Most recently, Kahnein competed at the national level for handball in 2016. Kahnein is presently a member of the Aces Netball Club and also serves as Team Captain and Treasurer.
Kahnein is a known dancer who has graced many stages with LEAP, RAVE and most recently Poise SKN. This contributed significantly to her interest in pageantry. In the 2014, she represented the Washington Archibald High School and captured the 1st Runner Up position in the National Carnival Talented Teen Pageant.
Kahnein is a woman of excellence who lives by the mantra “Nothing of great value is achieved without great sacrifice”. Sometimes you have to be beauty and a beast! As Kahnein undertakes the National Carnival Queen Pageant, she takes the lead role in ensuring that support and attention is brought to her platform: Balancing Sports and Education: A Sustainable Approach
